CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY—The Civil Service Commission (CSC) conducted the Foreign Service Officer Examination (FSOE) for those who are interested in the Foreign Service, and the Career Service Examination - Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) for those who intend to work in the civil service.
Thirty-six (36) examinees took the FSOE conducted on January 28, 2018 at Liceo de Cagayan University. The examination consisted of questions covering verbal, analytical, numerical and managerial ability.
For the CSE-PPT held on March 18, 2018, a total of 11, 763 examinees from Region 10 took the exam which was composed of 10,969 examinees for Professional Eligibility and 794 examinees for Sub-Professional Eligibility. The examination venues were at the following schools: Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan (XU), University of Science and Technology of the Southern Philippines (USTP), Capitol University (CU), Liceo de Cagayan University (LDCU) College Campus, Misamis Oriental General Comprehensive High School (MOGCHS), Southern Philippine College (SPC), Bulua Central School (BCS), Bulua National High School (BNHS), and Cagayan de Oro National High School - Senior and Junior High Campus.
In addition, the career service examination covered questions on vocabulary, grammar and correct usage, paragraph organization, reading comprehension, analogy, logic and numerical reasoning, the Philippine Consitution, Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees (RA 6713), peace and human rights, and environmental management and protection.
